The Senior Womens team confirmed their promotion to the Premiership with a strong team effort behind unbeaten leaders Cardiff at Connahs Quay on Saturday.

From the opening event the 400m Hurdles the team came up with top performances. Martine Bomb with a seasons best 62.9s for 5th and Kristy Wilson with a 65.6s lifetime best for 3rd led the way in very windy conditions.

Nikki Silva then ran a seasons best 2m 12.7s for 3rd in the 800m. Torema Thompson and Rachel Telfer-James ran away to victory in the 100m races and later teamed up with Dee Bakre and Dominique Blaize to ease home in 47.9s to win the 4x100m.

Denise Gayle and Michelle McNamara were 2nd in their 400m races and were joined by Martine Bomb and Mary Iheke to win the 4x400m in style. Mariah McConnaughey ran a personal best of 10m 07.4s for 4th in the 3000m. Dominique Blaize was 2nd and Martine Bomb 3rd with a seasons best in the 100m Hurdles races.
Mary Iheke ran a fine 200m B string to win by a whisker.

On the field Dominique Blaize on her club debut won the High Jump(1.73m) and B string Shot(11.80m). Mel Harrison threw a lifetime best Shot 12.06m for 2nd and there was a seasons best for Katie Moey 4th in the Pole Vault with 2.80m.

Dee Bakre was an excellent 3rd in both the Long and Triple Jumps (5.55m and 11.92m) and Sharifa Brown threw a lifetime best 36.46m for 2nd in the B Discus.
